RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE VALLECITOS WATER
DISTRICT CONCURRING IN THE NOMINATION OF EDWARD N. LAYTON TO THE
OFFICE OF PRESIDENT OF THE ASSOCIATION OF CALIFORNIA WATER
AGENCIES JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY ("ACWA/JPIA")
WHEREAS, Vallecitos Water District is a member district of the ACWA/JPIA; and
WHEREAS, the Bylaws of the ACWAlJPIA provide that in order for a nomination
to be made to ACWAlJPIA's Office of President, five member districts must concur with the
nominating district; and
WHEREAS, another ACWAlJPIA member district, the WALNUT VALLEY WATER
DISTRICT, has requested that this District concur in its nomination of its member of the
ACWAlJPIA Board of Directors to the Office of President of the ACWAlJPIA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos
Water District that this District concurs with the nomination of EDWARD N. LAYTON of the
WALNUT VALLEY WATER DISTRICT to the office of President of the ACWAlJPIA.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the District Secretary is hereby directed to
transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the ACWAlJPIA at 5620 Birdcage Street, Suite
200, Citrus Heights, California 95610-7632, forthwith.
