RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
SAN MARCOS COUNTY WATER DISTRICT MAKING AND
GIVING CERTAIN INFORMATION AND ASSURANCES TO
THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WEL-
FARE UNDER THE ACCELERATED PUBLIC WORKS PRO-
GRAM
WHEREAS, the Department of Health, Education and Welfare has by
letter dated November 14, 1963, requested certain assurances and information
from the San Marcos County Water District in conjunction. with the San
Marcos County Water District application for a federal grant of funds
for an Accelerated Public Works project to wit (the expansion of the
District sewage treatment plant).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the
San Marcos County Water District as follows:
1. That the San Marcos County Water District will not use funds
from other planned projects to match any grant received by virtue
of its application for an Accelerated Public Works grant.
2. That if the San Marcos County Water District receive an offer
of an Accelerated Public Works grant, construction of the project
will begin within 120 days after the grant offer.
3. That San Marcos County Water District will give preference to
qualified local labor in the construction of the project.
4. That the project set forth in the application to the Depart-
ment of Health, Education and Welfare designated APW-Cal-182
San Marcos County Water District, was not planned and was not
budgeted for in fiscal year 1963-64 by the San Marcos County Water
District, This project (expansion of San Marcos County Water
District Sewage Treatment Plant) may have been constructed during
the latter part of the fiscal year 1964-65~ subject to the San
Marcos County Water District voters approving and/or authorizing
financing by General Obligation Bonds.
That the Secretary of the San Marcos County Water District
is hereby instructed and directed to provide the Department of
Healthe Education and Welfare with certified copies of this
resolution.
