A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
IN SUPPORT OF THE NOMINATION OF
GLEN PETERSON, AS A CANDIDATE
FOR THE POSITION OF ACWA PRESIDENT
WHEREAS, ACWA has announced that a Nominating Committee has been formed to
develop a slate of candidates for the ACWA officers; and
WHEREAS, the individual who fills an officer position will need to have a working
knowledge of water industry issues and concerns, possess strength of character and leadership
capabilities, and be experienced in matters related to the performance of the duties of the office;
and
WHEREAS, this person must be able to provide the dedication of time and energy to
effectively serve in this capacity; and
WHEREAS, Glen Peterson has served in a leadership role as Chairman of the Federal
Affairs Committee; and
WHEREAS, Glen Peterson has served as Vice President on the ACWA Board of
Directors; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Vallecitos Water District Board of Directors that Glen
Peterson possesses all of the qualities needed to fulfill the duties of the office of ACWA
President.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Vallecitos Water District Board of
Directors wholeheartedly supports Glen Peterson for nomination as a candidate for the office of
ACWA President.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the District Secretary is hereby directed to transmit a
certified copy of this Resolution to the Association of California Water Agencies at 910 K Street,
Suite 100, Sacramento, California 95814-3512.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting held on t his 18t" day of
July, 2007, by the following roll call vote:
