RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF DIRECTOR DIVISIONS
AND -MODIFYING -RESOLUTION -NUMBER -1-109
WHEREAS, the Vallecitos Water District ("District") is a public agency formed in 1955
in the State of California, and is organized and existing under California Water Code Section
30000, et seq.;
WHEREAS, The District has been divided into director divisions for election purposes
since June, 2000;
WHEREAS, California Water Code Section 30733(a) provides that opting for elections
by Division require the Board of Directors to divide the District into five divisions, as nearly
equal in population as practicable, and assign a number to each division;
WHEREAS, California Water Code Section 30733(d), and Section 22000 of the
California Elections Code provide that the District is required to adjust division boundaries by
resolution, after each Federal decennial Census, and using that Census data as a basis,
adjust the boundaries of any director divisions so that the divisions are, as far as practicable,
equal in population, and in compliance with the Federal Voting Rights Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C.
§§ 1973, et. seq.); and,
WHEREAS, the Board has directed the General Manager to prepare new Director
Division Boundaries with changes to make the divisions as nearly equal in population as is
practicable;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE VALLECITOS WATER
DISTRICT HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES, RESOLVES, AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Director Division Boundaries of the Vallecitos Water District shall be
established to consist of the Voter precincts as shown on the current precinct maps of the
County Registrar of Voters, and more particularly described and listed by Director Division on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 2: That the foregoing will result in the creation of Director Divisions as nearly
equal in population as may be practicable in view of the District's configuration and
population distribution.
Section 3: That the General Manager of the District be and is authorized and directed
to timely file a certified copy of this resolution, along with such other documents as may
reasonably be necessary, with the San Diego County Registrar of Voters.

Section 4: That Resolution 1109 is hereby modified by all of the foregoing, such that in
any conflict between the provisions of this Resolution and previously approved Resolution
1109, the provisions of this Resolution shall control.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos
Water District at a regular meeting held on this 6th day of June, 2012 by the following roll call
vote:
