RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR THE SERVICES OF
MARGARET E. FERGUSON
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District regrets the retirement
of Margaret E. Ferguson from the Board; and
WHEREAS, Margaret E. Ferguson served Vallecitos Water District for 35 years
beginning with her election in 1978 and serving through the years as the District's
representative to many organizations, including the Association of California Water Agencies
(ACWA) Board, ACWA Region 10 Board, Encina Wastewater Authority Board, the San Diego
County Water Authority ( SDCWA) Board, SDCWA Engineering and Operations Committee
Chair, SDCWA Water Planning Committee Vice Chair, and the National Water Resources
Association;
WHEREAS, Margaret E. Ferguson served the District for those 35 years with great skill
and devotion, demonstrating her ability to work with other Board members, customers, and
employees of the District;
WHEREAS, Margaret E. Ferguson has performed a wide range of duties in support of
District activities, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires that public recognition of the services of
Margaret E. Ferguson on behalf of the District be given.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos
Water District as follows:
SECTION 1: The Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District, on behalf of
themselves, the management and personnel of the District, and the citizens of the District, does
hereby express its appreciation for the very valuable and professional work performed by
wishing Margaret E. Ferguson the best fortune in her future.
SECTION 2: The contribution, diligent efforts, and selfless service of Margaret E.
Ferguson, on behalf of this District and her devoted loyalty, are hereby commended as part of
the permanent records of the Vallecitos Water District.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos
Water District at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of February, 2014 by the following roll
call vote:
