RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE VALLECITOS WATER
DISTRICT AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
APPLICATION FOR A STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD GRANT
FOR COMPLETION OF A RECYCLED WATER BUSINESS PLAN
WHEREAS, the Vallecitos Water District (District) is a public agency organized
and operating pursuant to the California County Water District Act (Water Code Section
30000 et seq.), providing Water, Wastewater and Recycled Water service to the
communities located within the boundaries of the District; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the upcoming Master Plan, the District has
identified a need and opportunity to develop a Recycled Water Business Plan; and
WHEREAS, the State Water Resources Control Board has a grant program
which the District is eligible to apply for and which provides financial assistance for
public agency Recycled Water Business Plans in an amount not to exceed $75,000;
and
WHEREAS, by this Resolution the District Board of Directors is authorizing the
General Manager and /or his designee to execute and file a Financial Assistance
Application on behalf of the District with the State Water Resources Control Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the
Vallecitos Water District as follows:
Section 1: The Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District does hereby
authorize and direct the General Manager and /or his designee to sign and file, for and
on behalf of the Vallecitos Water District, a Financial Assistance Application for a grant
from the State Water Resources Control Board in the amount not to exceed $75,000, for
the completion of a Recycled Water Business Plan.
Section 2: The Board of Directors hereby agrees and further authorizes that the
General Manager and /or his designee can certify that the District has and will comply
with all applicable state and federal statutory and regulatory requirements related to any
federal and state loan /grants received.
Section 3: The Board of Directors further directs that the General Manager
and /or his designee are hereby authorized to negotiate and execute a loan /grant
contract and any amendments or change orders thereto, and to certify loan /grant
disbursements on behalf of the Vallecitos Water District.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the
Vallecitos Water District at a regular meeting held on this 2nd day of April, 2014, by the
following roll call vote:
