RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT APPROVING AND ADOPTING
LABOR COMPLIANCE PROGRAM
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE VALLECITOS WATER
DISTRICT as follows:
SECTION 1: The following facts are hereby found and determined to be true:
Section 1.1: That VARIOUS California statutes, including Proposition 84, the Safe
Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of
2006, require Awarding Agencies utilizing funds for public works projects derived from certain State
Bond Acts to initiate and enforce, or to contract with a third party to initiate and enforce, a labor
compliance program ("LCP") as described in subdivision (b) of Section 1771.5 of the Labor Code.
Section 1.2: That the Vallecitos Water District ("District") intends to apply for, and to
utilize funds derived from one or more such State Bond Acts for certain public works projects.
Section 1.3: That the District wishes to make a written finding that it has initiated and
shall enforce, or has contracted with a third party to initiate and enforce, a LCP as described in
subdivision (b) of Section 1771.5 of the Labor Code.
SECTION 2: The District shall apply for, and shall utilize funds derived through Proposition
84, the Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection
Bond Act of 2006.
SECTION 3: The District hereby adopts, for implementation, Golden State Labor
Compliance's Department of Industrial Relations approved Labor Compliance Program.
SECTION 4: The District shall contract with Golden State LC, an approved third party
provider, to initiate and enforce the abovementioned LCP on behalf of the District as required by
Public Resource Code Section 75075.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District at a
regular meeting held on this 3`d day of March, 2015, by the following roll call vote:
