RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR THE
SERVICE OF JOHN S. MURK
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District regrets the end of service
by JOHN S. MURK as General Manager of the Encina Wastewater Authority; and
WHEREAS, JOHN S. MURK has been involved in shaping the wastewater industry in north
San Diego County for the past 25 years; and
WHEREAS, JOHN S. MURK assumed responsibility as the General Manager of the Encina
Wastewater Authority from October 1997 through October 1998; and
WHEREAS, JOHN S. MURK led the competitive transformation and modernization of the
Encina Wastewater Authority to embrace current technology and methods;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water
District as follows:
SECTION 1: The Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District, on behalf of itself, the
management, and personnel of the District and on behalf of the citizens of the District does hereby express
its appreciation for the very valuable work performed by JOHN S. MURK.
SECTION 2: The contribution, diligent efforts, selfless service of JOHN S. MURK on behalf
of this District and the Encina Wastewater Authority and his devoted loyalty are hereby commended as part
of the permanent records of the Vallecitos Water District.
SECTION 3: The Board of Directors, staff, and employees of the District, collectively and
individually, wish JOHN S. MURK the best fortune in his future.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District at a
regular meeting held on this 4th day of November 1998 by the following roll call vote:
