RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT ADOPTING
THE 2013 SAN DIEGO INTEGRATED REGIONAL WATER
MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE
WHEREAS, the Vallecitos Water District ("District"), as a member agency of the San
Diego County Water Authority ("Water Authority") is indirectly a member of the San Diego
Regional Water Management Group ("RWMG"); and
WHEREAS, the RWMG, in close cooperation with a Regional Advisory Committee,
has drafted a 2007 San Diego Integrated Water Management Plan ("IRWM") to coordinate
and integrate water resource management in the region; and
WHEREAS, the 2007 IRWM was updated by the 2013 IRWM Plan; and
WHEREAS, the 2013 IRWM Plan establishes a mission, vision, goals and regional
priorities; and
WHEREAS, the 2013 IRWM Plan positions the San Diego Region to compete for
funding opportunities; and
WHEREAS, formal adoption of the 2013 IRWM Plan by the District Board of
Directors is a requirement for eligibility for grant funding pursuant to the terms of the
Integrated Regional Management Planning Act ("CWC Section 10539").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos
Water District as follows:
Section 1: The foregoing facts are true and correct.
Section 2: The 2013 IRWM plan is hereby formally adopted by the Vallecitos
Water District Board of Directors.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos
Water District at a regular meeting held on this 20th day of May, 2015, by the following roll
call vote:
