RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
FOR THE SERVICES OF DENNIS O. LAMB
WHEREAS, Dennis O. Lamb has served the Vallecitos Water District for a combined 34 years
beginning in July, 1982 as a temporary draftsman, working his way up the ranks, and serving as the General
Manager since January, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Dennis O. Lamb has been active and represented the District in numerous organizations,
associations, and committees within the water industry including serving on the Board of Directors of the San
Diego County Water Authority, promoting the advancement of the water desalination plant; and
WHEREAS, Dennis O. Lamb has continually demonstrated a remarkable service ethic, dedication, and
transparency to the District, its employees and customers, as well as the water industry, and the community;
and
WHEREAS, Dennis O. Lamb has been the first District General Manager to diversify water supply by
securing direct deliveries of desalinated water, contracting with the Olivenhain Municipal Water District for
treatment and delivery, and participating in the formation and advancement of the North San Diego Water
Reuse Coalition; and
WHEREAS, Dennis O. Lamb supported personal and professional development of staff and has
motivated the workforce within the District with recognition, mentoring and advancing an effective succession
plan; and
WHEREAS, Dennis O. Lamb supported personal and professional development of the region's
workforce by initiating and seeing to fruition the Water Management and Leadership Certificate Program at
California State University, San Marcos; and
WHEREAS, Dennis O. Lamb has enhanced the reputation and standing of the District among the
water community by working collaboratively with fellow agencies and institutions for the benefit of the region;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires that public recognition of the services of Dennis O. Lamb
on behalf of the District be given.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District
does hereby extend its deep gratitude and appreciation to Dennis O. Lamb for his years of dedicated service
and does heartily extend best wishes that his retirement be characterized by peace, prosperity, health, and
longevity.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District at
a regular meeting held on the 1St day of June, 2016 by the following roll call vote:
