RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR
EFFORTS OF VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT EMPLOYEES
DURING ITS LAND OUTFALL SEWER SPILL
WEEAS, the Vallecitos Water District experienced a failure of its sewer land outfall on September 22,
1995, and
WHEREAS, said failure resulted in spillage of approximately 3.667 million gallons of sewage, and
WHEREAS, the repair exercise was completed with tremendous coordination and confidence of District
employees, and
WHEREAS, District employees not physically involved with the actual repair performed services in
addition to their regular duties which allowed needed employees to participate in emergency repairs at the spill site, and
WHEREAS, the level of dedication and qualified personnel employed by this District is a source of
extreme pride to the Board of Directors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Vallecitos Water District does hereby recognize and
commend the employees of Vallecitos Water District for their outstanding services during the 20" CMLC sewer land
outfall failure of September 22, 1995. The continued effort of all employees averted the occurrence of a major
environmental incident.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting held on this 4th day of October 1995 by
the following roll call vote:
