RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
COMMENDING MARY ANN NEWPORT FOR HER MERITORIOUS SERVICE
WHEREAS, Mary Ann Newport has served the District as a member of the Board
of Directors with distinction since 1981; and has served as President of the Board of
Directors; and has served as a member of the District's Legal, Public
Awareness/Personnel, and Finance Committees; and has served as a member of the
District's Sewer Rate Study, Citizens Advisory Planning Committee, and Space Needs
Assessment ad hoc Committees; and has served as the District's alternate representative
to WateReuse; and has served as the District's representative to WESTCAS, in which
capacity she has served as Chairperson of the Membership and Communications
Committee and was a recipient of the Distinguished Performance Award; and
WHEREAS, the honorable and distinguished services of Mary Ann Newport have
served to establish and uphold the finest traditions of citizenship through participation in
local government.
NOW, THEREFORE, UPON HER DEPARTURE FROM THE BOARD, THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS DOES HEREBY FIND,
DETERMINE, RESOLVE, AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1: The Vallecitos Water District Board of Directors, on behalf of
themselves, the management and personnel of the District, and the citizens of the District,
do hereby express their appreciation and commend and honor Mary Ann Newport for her
13 years of service to the Vallecitos Water District and to the citizens and residents of the
District.
Section 2: The contribution and diligent efforts, the selfless service of Mary Ann
Newport' on behalf of this District and her devoted citizenship are hereby memorialized as
a permanent part of the records of the Vallecitos Water District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at an adjourned regular meeting of the Vallecitos Water
District Board of Directors held on December 7, 1994, by the following roll call vote:
