RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
DESIGNATING THE GENERAL MANAGER AND CONTROLLER
TO EXECUTE AN APPLICATION FOR
CERTAIN FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
WITH THE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
WHEREAS, Vallecitos Water District suffered extensive damage to the water transmission
and distribution systems and the sewer collection and treatment systems as a result of the January
storms that the President declared the area a disaster; and
WHEREAS, such declaration involves the provisions of P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert
T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance
under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act for Winter storms, which occurred in January, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requires that agencies
seeking assistance appoint individuals by name to execute documents for and on behalf of the
agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water
District that said District, a public entity established under the laws of the state of California,
hereby appoints the General Manager and Controller as its agents, and hereby authorizes its agents
to provide to the state Office of Emergency Services for all matters pertaining to such state disaster
assistance the assurances and agreements required.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water
District at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of April, 1993, by the following roll call vote:
