RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
AMENDING THE URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN 1990 UPDATE
AND ADOPTING THE WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLAN
WHEREAS, the California Legislature enacted Assembly Bill 11X during
the 1991 Extraordinary Session of the California Legislature (an act to amend the
California Water Code Sections 10620, 10621, 10631, and 10652, and to add Section
10656 to the California Water Code, relating to water); and
WHEREAS, AB11X mandates that every urban water supplier providing
municipal water directly or indirectly to more than 3,000 customers or supplying
more than 3,000 acre-feet of water annually develop a Water Shortage Contingency
Plan; and
WHEREAS, AB11X mandates that said Plan be filed with the California
Department of Water Resources by January 31, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the Vallecitos Water District has previously adopted a Water
Conservation Program (Ordinance No. 80-5) and Water Conservation Rates (Ordinance
Nos. 96 and 96-1) and the provisions of these ordinances are in force and are
incorporated in the Vallecitos Water District Water Shortage Contingency Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the
Vallecitos Water District as follows:
The Vallecitos Water District Water Shortage Contingency Plan is hereby
adopted and the Plan will be submitted to the California Department of Water
Resources by January 31, 1992.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the
Vallecitos Water District at a regular meeting held on this 15th day of January,
1992, by the following roll call vote:
