RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT
APPOINTING AMY BLALOCK
TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FOR A TERM OF OFFICE
UNTIL THE 1990 GENERAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, on November 4, 1986, under the provisions of
California Elections Code, STANLEY A. MAHR was elected as a member of
the Board of Directors of the VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT; and
WHEREAS, after unselfish participation and dedicated service
as a member of the Board of Directors, DIRECTOR MAHR has decided to
retire; and
WHEREAS, Section 1780 of the Government Code of the State of
California provides that, under the attendant circumstances, the Board
of Directors of the VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT may appoint a person to
hold office until the next general election; and
WHEREAS, the next general election is scheduled for the
first Tuesday in November, 1990;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE VALLECITOS
WATER DISTRICT DETERMINES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Board of Directors finds that STANLEY A.
MAHR has submitted his resignation as a member of the Board of
Directors.
SECTION 2: The Board of Directors finds that Amy Blalock
is eligible to fill the Board position and hereby appoints Amy Blalock
to serve as a Board member until the next District general election
scheduled for the first Tuesday in November, 1990.
SECTION 3: The Secretary of the VALLECITOS WATER
DISTRICT is hereby directed to deliver or cause to be delivered
forthwith a certified copy of this Resolution to the Registrar of
Voters of the County of San Diego and a certified copy to the Clerk of
the Board of Supervisors, County of San Diego.
