RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SAN MARCOS COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
APPROVING A LOSS-PREVENTION INSPECTION
WHEREAS, the Loss-Prevention Inspection is an integral part of a
multi-faceted Safety/Loss Control program aimed at controlling losses through
inspections, recc,,..~ndations and reporting, corrective actions, and total
co,..Arm~nt on the part of member districts; and
WHEREAS, said policy of loss-Prevention Inspections was unanimously
approved and adopted at the ACWA/JPIA Executive Committee meeting held Jan,~ry
11, 1980;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the San
Marcos County Water District (hereinafter called DISTRICT) that authority is
hereby granted to the Association of California Water Agencies Joint Powers
Insurance Authority (hereinafter called ACWA/JPIA) to arrange, schedule and
contract for a Loss-Prevention Inspection of this DISTRICT.
BE IT ~ORTH~I{ RESOLVED that DISTRICT understands and agrees that
such Loss-Prevention Inspection is required by ACWA/JPIA as a precondition for
consideration of acceptance as a member district into the ACWA/JPIA, that a
fee of $500.00 for said Loss-Prevention Inspection shall be unconditionally
borne by the DIS%RICT, and that a copy of the Loss-Prevention Inspection
report and reco~ndations will become the property of the DISTRICT whether or
not the DISTRICT becomes a ~me~ber of the ACWA/JPIA.
BE IT FLRTH~lt RF-ROLVED that the Board of Directors of this DISTRICT
presents this resolution to the ACWA/JPIA Executive Corem{tree as a request to
proceed with the Loss-Prevention Inspection, and as authorization for
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of January, 1986 by the
following roll call vote:
