RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SAN MARCOS COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
ORDERING THE DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN TERRITORY
DESIGNATED THE "MADISON SQUARE PARTNERSHIP REORGANIZATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SAN MARCOS COUNTY
WATER DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: The following facts are hereby found and determined
to be true:
(a) The territory to be detached is described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made part of this Resolution.
(b) The owners of land described in Exhibit "A" have given written
consent to detachment.
(c) The detachment of said territory will be for the best interest
of the District, the land and the owners thereof.
(d) The Board of Directors determines that all of the territory
described in Exhibit "A" shall be excluded from the District; that the
proceedings were genuine and sufficient and in all respects complied with the
District Reorganization Act of 1954 (commencing with Section 56000 of the
Government Code of the State of California).
(e) The detachment of territory as proposed was approved by the
Local Agency Formation Commission by Resolution (Ref R084-4) adopted November
9, 1984.
SECTION 2: The Board of Directors of the San Marcos County Water
District does hereby order the detachment of all territory described in
Exhibit "A".
SECTION 3: The terms and conditions of said detachment are as
follows:
(a) The description of the boundaries have been modified to conform
to Exhibit "A" of the Resolution of the Local Agency Formation Commission (Ref
R084-4).
(b) The detachment of territory from the San Marcos County Water
District shall not become effective until proceedings have been completed for
the annexation of said territory to the Vista Irrigation District.
SECTION 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption; it is adopted pursuant to Section 56322 of the Government
Code and aforesaid Resolution of the Local Agency Formation Commission
authorizing the initiation of proceedings without notice and hearing and
without an election.
By certified copy of this Resolution, the Executive Officer of the
Local Agency Formation Commission is requested to complete proceedings and
make the necessary filings required by law.

Block 104 of R~cho Los Val!ecit6s de San Marcos, in the County
of San Diego, State of California, according to }lap thereof No. 806,
filed in the COunty Recorder's Office of San Diego County, December 21,
1895, lying within the fo!]owing described boundaries:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of said Lot 2;
1. Thence North 23°38'05" East, 64.04 feet along the northwesterly
'line of said ~ot 2 to ~he southwesterly line of State Highway
XI-SD-196B (Highway 78) Map on'file in the Office of the State
Division of Highways in said County, and ~he True Point of
Beginning;
2.Thence South 4!°34'43" East, 8.48 feet along said southwesterly
line to an angle point within;
3. Thence South 35°]8'27" East, 784-06 feet along said line to a
point on the northwesterly line of "C" Street (now known as
Rancho Santa Fe Road), as shown on said Map ~o- 806;
4. Thence leaving said northwesterly line, South 70~07'07" East to
the interSeCtion of the southerly boundary said State Highway
' 78 as conveyed in deed to the State of California, recorded March 10,
1959, in Book 7538, Page 490, of the Official Records of said
County, with the southeasterly line of said "C" Street, said
.. point being 868.26 feet southwesterly from the intersection of
the southwesterly line of 15th Street (now kno~ as Capalina Road]
and the southeasterly line of said "C" Street, as shown on said
Map No. 806;
5. T-hence North 23~38'05" East along said southeasterly line of said
"C" Street to the intersection with the center line of saidl5th
Street;
6- Thence northwesterly along said centerline to the intersection
with the northeasterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of
said Lot 2;
7. Thence South 23~38'05" West along said northeasterly prolongation'
and northwesterly line to the True Point of Beginning.
