A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
SAN MARCOS COUNTY WATER DISTRICT APPROVING
A LOSS-PREVENTION INSPECTION
WHEREAS, the Loss-Prevention Inspection is an' integral. part of
a multi-faceted Safety/Loss Control program aimed at controlling losses
through inspections, recommendations and reporting, corrective actions, and
total commitment on the part of member districts; and
WHEREAS, said policy of Loss-Preventian Inspections was unanimously
approved and adopted at the ACWA/jPIA Executive Committee meeting held January
11, 1980;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of San
Marcos County Water District (hereinafter called DISTRICT) that authority is
hereby granted to the Association of California Water Agencies Joint Powers
Insurance Authority (hereinafter cal.led ACWA/JPIA) to arrange, schedule and
contract for a Loss-Prevention Inspection of this DISTRICT.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that DISTRICT understands and agrees that
such Loss-Prevention Inspection is required by ACWA/JPIA as a preconditian
for consideration of acceptance as a member district into the ACWA/jPIA, that
a fee of $500.00 for said Loss-Prevent:ion Inspection shall be unconditionally
borne by the DISTRICT, and that a copy of the Loss-Prevention Inspection
report and recommendations will become the property of the DISTRICT whether
or not the DISTRICT becomes a member of the ACWA/JPIA.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of this DISTRICT
presents this resolution to the ACWA/JPIA Executive Committee as a request to
proceed with the Loss-Prevention Inspection, and as authorization for same.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1982, by
the following roll' call vote:
