AN ORDINANCE OF THE SAN MARCOS COUNTY WATER
DISTRICT MODIFYING SECTIONS 54 AND 55 OF
ARTICLE 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 49 (WATER SERVICE)
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SAN MARCOS COUNTY WATER
DISTRICT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 54. "Disconnection for Non -Payment" of Article 9,
"Discontinuance of Service" of Ordinance No. 49, "Water Service", as
modified reads as follows:
"Disconnection for Non -Payment. All bills are
due upon presentation. Bills become deliquent
if not paid on or before twenty (20) days after
presentation. If bills are not paid within
twenty (20) days after presentation, service
may be discontinued without further notice.
The failure of the District to send or any
such person to receive notice shall not affect
the District's power hereunder. A customer's
water service may be discontinued if water
service furnished at a previous location is not
paid for within the time herein fixed for the
payment of bills. If a customer receives water
service at more than one location and the bill
for a service at any one location is not paid
within the time provided for payment, water
service at all locations may be turned off."
SECTION 55. "Reconnection Charge" of Article 9, "Discon-
tinuance of Service" of Ordinance No. 49, "Water Service" is hereby
modified to delete the present text and substitute the following:
"Reconnection Charge. A reconnection charge of
$10.00 will be made and collected prior to re-
newing service following a discontinuance or
disconnection."
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect forthwith
upon adoption and there being no newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in the District, copies of this
Ordinance shall be posted within ten (10) days after adoption in three
(3) public places within the District and an affidavit of such posting
shall be executed and filed in the official records of the District in
accordance with the provisions of Section 31105 of the California Water
Code.
