RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE VALLECITOS WATER
DISTRICT AUTHORIZING DRAWS AND THE USE OF FACSIMILE SIGNATURES FOR
FUNDS DRAWN UPON VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS WITH
US BANK AND REPEAL AND REPLACE RESOLUTION NO. 1645
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Water Code Section 30581, the Board of Directors
desires to authorize the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Human Resources
and Risk Manager, Operations & Maintenance Manager, District Engineer, and Chief
Financial Officer to draw upon Vallecitos Water District (VWD) deposit accounts by way of
disbursement; and,
WHEREAS, due to the volume of checks generated it is advantageous to use
facsimile signatures as a time saving method.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors does hereby
authorize US Bank, as designated depository of VWD, to honor all checks, drafts, or other
orders for payment of money drawn in the District's name on its accounts when bearing the
facsimile or live signature of any two of the following:
• James Gumpel, General Manager; or
• Denise Aviles, Human Resources and Risk Manager; or
• Ed Pedrazzi, Operations and Maintenance Manager; or
• Jason Hubbard, District Engineer; or
• Douglas Westley Owen, Chief Financial Officer
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water
District at a regular meeting held on the 17'" day of January, 2024, by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: BOYD-HODGSON, GROSET, HERNANDEZ, PENNOCK
