RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
SAN MARCOS COUNTY WATER DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA,
AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR CONSTRUCION OF CERTAIN
IMPROVEMENTS FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 76-2
(MT. WHITNEY)
WHEREAS, the Engineer of Work has heretofore prepared plans
and specifications for the construction of certain water system
improvements for the benefit of Assessment District No. 76-2,
which plans and specifications are entitled "Contract Documents
and Specifications for the Construction of 2.5 Million Gallon
Steel Tank, Modifications to Existing Water Pump Station and
Chlorination Facilities, Water Transmission Mains and Appur-
tenances for Assessment District No. 76-2, (Mt. Whitney)"; and
WHEREAS, this Board of Directors has approved the aforesaid
plans and specifications and authorized the submission thereof
for competitive bids; and
WHEREAS, after due notice had been given as provided by
law, bids were received and opened by the Secretary of the
District;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the San Marcos
County Water District DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
as follows:
SECTION 1. The bid of WAL-CON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY for the
construction of the work described in Schedules 1 and 2, and
the bid of METRO YOUNG CONSTRUCTION COMPANY for the construc-
tion of the work described in Schedule 3 of the aforesaid "Con-
tract Documents and Specifications for the Construction of 2.5
Million Gallon Steel Tank, Modifications to Existing Water Pump
Station and Chlorination Facilities, Water Transmission Mains
and Appurtenances for Assessment District No. 76-2 (Mt.
Whitney)" are the lowest and best bids received by the
Secretary of the District for said work; and said bids are
hereby accepted.
SECTION 2. Copies of contracts, in the form contained in
the aforesaid "Contract Documents and Specifications for the
Construction of 2.5 Million Gallon Steel Tank, Modifications to
Existing Water Pump Station and Chlorination Facilities, Water
Transmission Mains and Appurtenances for Assessment District
No. 76-2, (Mr. Whitney)" (and providing for the additional com-
pensation with respect to Schedules 1 and 2 specified in the
letter agreement between the District and WAL-CON CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY dated May 14, 1981) shall be forwarded to said success-
ful bidders for execution. Upon execution by the successful
bidders, the President of the Board of Directors is authorized
to execute and the Secretary of the District is authorized to
attest to said contracts.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 29th day of June, 1981 by
the following vote:
