RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
FOR THE SERVICES OF DALE MASON
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District regrets the retirement from
the Board of DALE MASON; and
WHEREAS, DALE MASON has served the Vallecitos Water District for 25 years beginning
with his election to the Board in 1979 and serving through the years on the San Diego Water
Authority Board for 24 years, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California Board for 12
years, and the Association of California Water Agencies Board for 18 years; and
WHEREAS, DALE MASON served the District for those 25 years with great skill and devotion,
demonstrating his ability to work with other Board members, customers, and employees of the
District; and
WHEREAS, DALE MASON has performed a wide range of duties in support of District
activities; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires that public recognition of the services of DALE
MASON on behalf of the District be given;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water
District as follows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors ofthe Vallecitos Water District, on behalf of themselves,
the management and personnel of the District, and the citizens of the District, does hereby express
its appreciation for the very valuable and professional work performed by DALE MASON.
SECTION 2. The contribution, diligent efforts, selfless service of DALE MASON on behalf
of this District and his devoted loyalty are hereby commended as part of the permanent records of
the Vallecitos Water District.
SECTION 3. The Board of Directors, staff, and employees of the District, collectively and
individually, wish DALE MASON the best fortune in his future.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water
District at a regular meeting held on the 1st day of September, 2004 by the following roll call vote:
