RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
VALLECITOS WATER DISTRICT EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
FOR THE SERVICES OF RAYMOND CRUZ
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District regrets the retirement of
RAYMOND CRUZ from the Board; and
WHEREAS, RAYMOND CRUZ has served Vallecitos Water District for 12 years beginning with
his election to the Board in 1992 and serving through the years as the District's representative to many
organizations, including the San Diego County Water Authority Reclamation Advisory Committee
(WARAC), the National Water Resources Association (NWRA), the Local Agency Formation Committee
(LAFCO) Special Districts Advisory Committee, the Association of California Water Agencies Water
Reclamation and Reuse Committee, the WateReuse Association Committee, the Association of California
Water Agencies Utility Service Agency (ACWA/USA), and the Association of California Water Agencies
Joint Powers Insurance Authority (ACWA/JPIA); and
WHEREAS, RAYMOND CRUZ served the District for those 12 years with great skill and devotion,
demonstrating his ability to work with other Board members, customers, and employees of the District;
and
WHEREAS, RAYMOND CRUZ has performed a wide range of duties in support of District
activities; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires that public recognition of the services of RAYMOND
CRUZ on behalf of the District be given.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District
as follows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District, on behalf of themselves, the
management and personnel of the District, and the citizens of the District, does hereby express its
appreciation for the very valuable and professional work performed by RAYMOND CRUZ.
SECTION 2. The contribution, diligent efforts, and selfless service of RAYMOND CRUZ, on behalf
of this District and his devoted loyalty, are hereby commended as part of the permanent records of the
Vallecitos Water District.
SECTION 3. The Board of Directors, staff, and employees of the District, collectively and
individually, wish RAYMOND CRUZ the best fortune in his future.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Vallecitos Water District
at a regular meeting held on the 17' day of November 2004 by the following roll call vote:
