RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
SAN MARCOS COUNTY WATER DISTRICT REQUESTING
DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
CONCURRENCE IN LOCAL EMERGENCIES
WHEREAS, on February 21, 1978, the Board of Directors of
the San Marcos County Water District found that due to heavy rains,
windstorms and floods a condition of extreme peril to life and
property did exist within the San Marcos County Water District; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with state law the Board of Directors
of San Marcos County Water District now declare an emergency did
exist through said District; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DECLARED AND ORDERED that a
copy of this declaration be forwarded to the State Director of
the Office of Emergency Services with a request that he find it
acceptable in accordance with provisions of the Natural Disaster
Assistance Act; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that Gene C. Madison, District Engineer,
is hereby designated as the authorized representative of the San
Marcos County Water District for the purpose of receipt, processing,
and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary to
obtain available state assistance.
